  • 1 lb. ground venison
  • 3 Tbsp. shortening
  • 1/2 c. diced onion
  • 1/2 c. diced green pepper
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 1 (1 lb.) can red kidney beans
  • 2 c. broad noodles, uncooked
  • 1 qt. tomatoes
  • 1 (4 oz.) can button mushrooms
  • 2 tsp. salt (seasoned)
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper

    In a large skillet, brown meat in shortening.

    Saute onion, green pepper and celery until transparent. Add remaining ingredients.

    Mix well. Cover tightly and bring to a boil.
