  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 10 to 12 slices bacon
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 1 (3 to 5 lb.) venison roast
  • 1 c. vinegar
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. red wine (dry), divided
  • 2 c. water
