- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. butter
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 (16 oz.) jar raspberry jam
- 4 egg whites
- 1 1/2 c. nuts, ground
Directions

1Make pastry by blending flour, 1/2 cup sugar, butter and egg yolks with fingers.

2Pat into buttered cookie sheet; prick with fork.

3Bake until golden, about 10 to 15 minutes.

4Remove from oven; spread with jam.

5Beat egg whites stiff, gradually adding remaining sugar; beat.

6Fold in nuts.

7Spread meringue over jam. Bake for approximately 20 to 25 minutes.

8Cool and cut into squares.
