- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped
- 3/4 c. jam
Directions

1Mix butter and sugar until fluffy.

2Add egg yolks and blend well.

3Add flour gradually and then stir in nuts.

4Spoon half of batter into buttered 13 x 9-inch pan.

5Top with jam; cover with remaining batter.

6Spread with spatula dipped in hot water and then wiped.

7Bake in preheated 350° oven for 30 minutes.

8Cool and then cut into bars.
