- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. seedless raisins
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 3 Tbsp. apple cider yellow vinegar
- 4 eggs, separated
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
Directions

1Thoroughly cream sugar with butter.

2Add spices and cream. Add egg yolks (beaten until smooth) and vinegar.

3Stir in cut raisins.

4Add salt to egg whites; beat until stiff.

5Slide whites into sugar and raisin mixture.

6Cut and fold in thoroughly.

7Turn into pastry-lined pan and bake for 15 minutes at 425°.

8Reduce to 300° for 20 to 25 minutes.

9Top should be brown and center of filling jelly like when done.

10Let cool 2 to 3 hours before cutting.

11Serve at room temperature.
