Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. cloves
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar.

    Add cinnamon, cloves, allspice, salt and flour and blend well.

    Slowly stir in beaten egg, water and vinegar.

    Cook, stirring constantly, in top of double boiler until thickened.

    Pour into baked pie shell that has been baked 3 minutes at 350°.

    Pour all ingredients in pie shell and continue baking until golden brown.
