  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/3 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 c. cold water

Directions

    Measure flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt in the sifter.

    Put in 8 x 9-inch pan (ungreased).

    Make 3 holes in pan with your finger.

    Place vanilla in one, then oil and vinegar next. Pour 1 cup cold water; mix well.

    Batter will be thin.

    Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
