- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs, separated
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 14 cup cooking oil
Directions

1Preheat waffle baker.

2Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

3In a large bowl, beat together egg yolks, buttermilk, and oil.

4Add dry ingredients and beat in until smooth.

5In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until stiff.

6Fold into batter.

7Pour 1/4 of batter onto hot waffle grids.

8Close waffle baker.

9When steam no longer comes from waffle baker, waffles should be golden brown and ready to serve.

10Repeat last 2 steps until batter is used up.
