- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. fine bread crumbs
- pinch of salt
- 2 c. ground walnuts
- 1 tsp. rum
- 1 tsp. almond extract
- 8 egg whites
Directions

1Beat egg yolks with sugar until very light.

2Add walnuts and the rest of the ingredients.

3Whip the egg whites until very stiff and fold gently into the mixture.

4Bake in 2 greased shallow cake pans at 325°

5for 45 minutes or until the cake leaves the sides of the pan.
