- 3/4 c. dark corn syrup
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2/3 c. brown sugar
- 1 unbaked pie shell
Directions

1Combine molasses, syrup and water; stir in soda.

2Beat a little of molasses mixture with egg.

3Stir egg mixture into mixture.

4Mix flour, butter and brown sugar into crumbs.

5Mix 1 cup crumbs into the molasses mixture; pour into pie shell.

6Top with remaining crumbs.

7Bake at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes.
