  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar

    Bring sugar, syrup and water to a boil until spins a thread. Remove from heat and add cream of tartar.

    Pour over egg whites (beaten) and beat.

    Add powdered sugar.

    This is enough for two cakes.
