  • 1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 3/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. heavy whipping cream, whipped until almost butter
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Sift together the first 4 ingredients. Set aside.

    Beat in a large bowl the egg whites and salt until stiff.

    Fold in the whipping cream, water and vanilla. Fold into dry ingredients. Makes two 8-inch layers. Bake at 350° until done.
