- 1 1/2 c. starter
- 1 1/2 c. warm water
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. oil
- 2 tsp. salt
- 3 1/2 c. bread flour (Pillsbury puts out bread flour, Winn Dixie carries it)
- 3 c. wheat flour
Directions

1Mix the first five ingredients and add flour to make a stiff dough.

2Grease a large bowl with oil, put in the dough and turn over so the oily side is on top.

3Cover and let stand overnight. Do not refrigerate.

4Next morning, punch down the dough and knead lightly.

5Divide into 3 equal parts.

6Knead each portion 8 times. Put into greased loaf pans and let rise 4 to 6 hours.

7Cover with wax paper while rising.

8Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

9Brush with butter and turn out to cool.
