Whole Wheat Breadsticks

Ingredients

  • 1 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp. cold milk

Directions

    Mix flour with cinnamon and soda in bowl.

    Cut in margarine and cheese with pastry blender until crumbly.

    Add mixture of egg and milk.

    Mix with flour until mixture forms ball.

    Shape by teaspoonfuls into sticks.

    Place 1-inch apart on ungreased baking sheet.

    Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown. Yields 24 breadsticks.
