Ingredients
- 4 t. butter
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 c. uncooked basmati or jasmine rice
- 2 c. water
- 1/2 t. salt
- 4 T thinly sliced green onion tops
- 4 t. minced fresh basil (or 1-2 dried)
- 2 t. minced fresh thyme (or 1/2 - 1 dried)
- 4 T grated fresh parmesan cheese
- Thyme sprigs (optional)
Directions

1Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.

2Add garlic; saute 1 minute.

3Add rice; stir well.

4Add water and salt; bring to a boil.

5Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed.

6Stir in green onions, basil, and thyme.

7Sprinkle with cheese; garnish with thyme sprigs, if desired.
