- loose leaf lettuce
- 1 bunch green onions, sliced
- 6 slices bacon
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/3 c. vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Fry bacon until crisp.

2Drain on paper towel.

3In bacon drippings, saute onions for 1 minute.

4In large pan, put water, vinegar, sugar and 2 tablespoons of bacon drippings.

5Bring to a boil.

6Add onions and lettuce broken into bite size pieces.

7Turn heat off, leaving pan on burner and toss ingredients to coat or wilt the lettuce.

8Crumble the bacon and add to lettuce; toss again.

9Serve slightly warm.
