Ingredients

  • 1 doz. eggs, separated
  • 2/3 c. milk
  • 1 c. sugar
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 1/4 c. whipping cream, whipped
  • 1 (46 oz.) can apricot nectar
  • 1 1/4 c. brandy
  • 1/3 c. Triple Sec
  • nutmeg

Directions

    In the top of a double boiler, beat egg yolks well.

    Add the milk, 3/4 cup of sugar and salt.

    Cook over simmering water 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Cool.

    Beat the egg whites until frothy; add 1/4 cup of sugar and continue beating until stiff. Whip the cream and pour into whites.

    Pour cooled custard over all and gently fold until blended.

    Gently stir in nectar, brandy and Triple Sec.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight.

    When ready to serve, beat it with a whisk, then pour into punch bowl.

    Sprinkle with nutmeg and serve.
