- 4 medium cooking apples
- 1 c. water
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 Tbsp. butter
Directions

1Peel and quarter apples, place in medium saucepan.

2Pour water over apples, bring to a boil, reduce to simmer, cover and cook about 10 minutes, until apples are tender, but not mushy.

3Stir in cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar and butter.

4Use potato masher or food processor to blend mixture.

5Serve warm or chilled, can be frozen.
