  • 1/2 c. butter or shortening
  • 1 c. blackberry jam or jelly
  • 1/2 c. sour milk
  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

    Dissolve soda in milk.

    Mix butter and sugar; add eggs.

    Sift flour and cinnamon together.

    Add milk and flour alternately. Blend in jam last.

    Bake in 325° oven in ungreased cake pan for 45 minutes to 55 minutes.

    Serve with Butterscotch Sauce.
