Ingredients
- 6 c. bread flour
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. mashed potatoes (instant are fine)
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 2 c. very warm water
Directions

1Place yeast in very warm water; stir and let stand until foaming.

2Add yeast mixture to remaining ingredients.

3Work with hands to make a soft dough.

4Knead from 3 to 5 minutes, adding a little more flour if needed.

5Place in a large, covered bowl.

6Let rise until doubled in bulk.

7Make out 30 rolls. Let rise.

8Bake at 350°.

9Brush with melted butter.

10Use or freeze.
