- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1 regular yeast
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 c. Crisco or Wesson oil
- 1/3 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 4 c. plain flour
Directions

1Combine 1/4 cup lukewarm water, yeast and 1 tablespoon sugar; blend well.

2Add Crisco or oil, sugar, egg, salt, 1 cup lukewarm water and flour.

3Mix all together.

4Knead like making biscuits. Let rise for 2 or 2 1/2 hours in a warm place, then work down like you do for biscuits.

5Cut out; put in greased pan.

6Let set for about 2 hours.

7Cook at 375° or 400° until well done.
