- 1 pkg. active dry yeast or 1 cake compressed yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water (about 110~)
- 3/4 c. hot milk
- 1/4 c. shortening or oil
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 4 c. flour (about)
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in water.

2Mix milk, fat, sugar and salt in a large mixing bowl.

3Cook to lukewarm.

4Stir in egg and yeast.

5Add 2 cups flour and beat until smooth.

6Gradually stir in more flour until dough leaves sides of bowl.
