- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 1/4 c. fat (shortening)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. scalded milk
- 1 egg, beaten
- about 4 c. flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
Directions

1Soften yeast in water; add 1/2 teaspoon sugar.

2Add shortening, rest of sugar and salt to hot milk.

3Stir until sugar is dissolved. Cool, then add egg.

4Stir in softened yeast.

5Stir flour into liquid mixture until well mixed.
