  • 3/4 c. half water, half milk
  • 3/4 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. drippings from roast beef

    Beat eggs with water and milk mixture.

    Stir in sifted flour and salt.

    Beat excessively.

    Pour drippings from roast beef into 8 or 9-inch pan, greased.

    Put pan into 450° oven until fat begins to smoke.

    Pour in batter and bake for 20 to 30 minutes until puffed and brown.

    Serve with gravy.
