Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef (ground round or chuck is best; less fat)
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/2 c. oatmeal
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 8 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 8 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • dash of Worcestershire sauce

Directions

    Combine meat, chopped onion, oatmeal, pepper, 1/2 cup ketchup and salt; mix well.

    Shape into medium size meat balls.

    Place in large baking dish.

    Combine 1/2 cup ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar and Worcestershire sauce.

    Bring to a boil.

    Pour over meat balls and bake in a 300° oven until brown and well done, about 35 to 40 minutes.
