- 1 c. rolled oats
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 4 c. peeled, sliced apples
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
Directions

1Grease a baking pan (8 x 8 x 2-inch) or a 2-quart baking dish. Preheat oven to 350°.

2Measure the oats, flour, salt, cinnamon and brown sugar into a bowl.

3Remember to pack the brown sugar. Measure the margarine.

4Cut it into the dry ingredients until it is like small peas.

5Adjust the oven racks so that the pan is in the center of the oven.

6Peel and slice the apples.
-
7Arrange in the baking pan or dish.

8Spread the oatmeal mixture on top of the apples.

9Press lightly.
-
10Bake 30 minutes until topping is light brown and the apples are tender.

11Serve warm with milk or ice cream.
