  • 1 slice bread, break in small pieces
  • 2 Tbsp. tapioca
  • 1 tsp. salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 small onion
  • 3 carrots, cut up
  • 2 potatoes, cut up
  • 1/2 c. celery, cut up
  • frozen peas (if desired)
  • 2 1/4 c. tomato juice
  • 1/2 c. water
