  • 1 head iceberg lettuce
  • 4 boiled eggs hard-, chopped
  • 2 cups frozen peas thawed
  • 1 red onion chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup green pepper chopped
  • 2 1/2 cups mayonnaise
  • 8 slices crisp bacon crumbled
  • 3 cups cheddar cheese grated

Directions

    Wash and tear up the lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Place lettuce in the bottom a large bowl for your first layer.

    Slice up the hard boiled eggs. Layer over the lettuce. (Sprinkle a touch of salt and pepper over the eggs if desired.)

    Next, layer the frozen peas over the eggs.

    Cover the peas completely with the chopped red onion.

    The next layer that you will add is the chopped celery.

    Spread a layer of chopped green peppers over the celery.

    In a separate bowl, mix the mayonnaise and sugar together. Carefully spread this layer over the celery. Make sure to cover the entire surface of the salad.

    Finally, garnish the salad with crumbled bacon, and top the bacon with grated cheddar cheese.

    Cover bowl tightly with plastic wrap or a lid, and refrigerate 8 hours, or overnight.
