Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c. each chopped celery, chopped green pepper and chopped onion
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
  • 1/2 to 1 pt. mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 to 6 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • bacon bits

Directions

    Fill a large salad bowl with shredded lettuce.

    (Slice like cabbage to make it more fluffy.)

    Add in layers the celery, green pepper and onion.

    Cook the frozen peas and allow to cool, then add to salad in layers again:

    peas and mayonnaise.

    Sprinkle sugar over dressing.

    Use cheese to cover salad.

    Sprinkle bacon bits on top.

    Cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.
