  • 3 sticks butter
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 3 c. all-purpose flour (presifted)
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon extract
  • 1/4 c. 7-Up

Directions

    Cream butter and sugar together in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Add flour.

    Beat well.

    Beat in lemon extract and 7-Up.

    Pour batter into a well-greased and floured pan or mold. Bake at 325° for 1 hour.

    Let it cool.

    Decorate with glaze or frosting (lemon).
