  • 1/2 c. chopped green peppers
  • 1/2 c. chopped onions
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 1/2 c. rice
  • 2 cans consomme soup
  • 1 can water
  • 1 c. pecans or almonds

Directions

    Put first 3 ingredients in a casserole dish, place in 350° oven and cook for 15 minutes.

    Then add rice, 1 can consomme soup and one can of water; cook uncovered for 45 minutes.

    Then add 1 can consomme soup and cook covered 45 minutes.

    Last 15 minutes, put nuts on top.

    Pecans are a nice replacement for almonds, actually better.
