Ingredients
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup long grain rice
- 2 tbsp. butter
Directions

1Bring a large pot of water to a boil on high heat.

2Add the salt and sprinkle in the rice.

3Return to a boil, then reduce the heat to medium high and boil steadily, uncovered for 12 minutes.

4Drain.

5Turn the heat down to low.

6Rinse the rice with warm water and shake dry.

7Return the rice to the pot.

8Cover and steam for 5 minutes.

9Stir in the butter and add salt and pepper to taste.

10Serves 3.

11This rice always works beautifully.

12You can cook any amount of rice this way, as long as you have a big enough pot.

13This rice also reheats well.

14To reheat, spread the cooked rice on a cookie sheet, dot with butter, cover with foil and reheat in 350 F. oven for 15 minutes.
