- 1/2 c. cornmeal
- 2 Tbsp. butter Crisco
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 3 tsp. salt
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. warm water
- 5 to 6 c. flour
- 2 c. boiling water
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Combine cornmeal, Crisco, molasses and salt.

3Pour 2 cups boiling water over mixture; let cool.

4Put 2 packages yeast in 1/2 cup warm water to dissolve.

5Pour over mixture and add flour until dough forms a ball.

6Knead for 8 minutes.

7Place in greased bowl, double in size, punch down and rise 1 more hour.

8Bake for 30 minutes.
