  • 12 cup shortening
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 2 cups flour
  • 12 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 2 tablespoons chocolate
  • 12 teaspoon clove
  • 12 cup boiling water
  • 1 apple, chopped fine
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 12 lb oleo
  • 14 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup coconut (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 (10 ounce) can crushed pineapple
  • 1 orange, sectioned
  • 1 cup raisins

    Dissolve chocolate in boiling water and set aside.

    Cream the butter, shortening and sugar and sift the dry ingredients together.

    Add alternately with buttermilk and add chocolate and chopped apple.
