- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 Tbsp. warm water
- 1 c. Crisco (shortening)
- 2 c. milk
- 5 c. flour (all-purpose)
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. soda
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Dissolve yeast in warm water.

3Sift together dry ingredients.

4Cut shortening into dry ingredients. Add yeast and milk.

5Knead to dough.

6Roll 1/2-inch thick.

7Cut with cutter.

8Put close together in pan and bake at 350°. Makes about 30 biscuits.

9They keep in refrigerator for 3 to 4 days or freeze well.
