- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 2 pkg. dry yeast, dissolved in 1/2 c. warm water and 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. coarse salt
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in shortening, then yeast and buttermilk.

2Mix with a large spoon real good.

3You can pinch off each day just the amount you want.

4It will keep a week to 10 days, covered in refrigerator.

5Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes.
