- 2 1/2 c. sifted self-rising flour
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. lukewarm buttermilk
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1 pkg. or cake yeast
- 1/3 c. shortening
Directions

1Sift flour and sugar.

2Dissolve yeast in buttermilk.

3Cut shortening into flour mixture, then stir in buttermilk quickly. Knead until smooth and roll very thin.

4Cut and place one on top of another.

5Bake at 375° for 15 to 20 minutes.
