  • 1 c. Crisco, melted (not oil!)
  • 3 c. applesauce
  • 4 c. flour (leave 1 out to mix with fruit)
  • 2 Tbsp. soda
  • 1 lb. raisins
  • 1 lb. mixed fruit
  • 1 lb. each red and green cherries
  • 1 c. grapefruit juice
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 lb. nuts
  • 1 lb. dates

    Mix all ingredients together.

    Grease pan and bake at 350° for 2 hours in tube pans or 45 minutes in regular pans.
