- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 cups rolled oats (ground in food processor)
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 cups milk (or buttermilk)
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
- 2 tablespoons rolled oats
- 2 apples (peeled, cored and chopped)

11. Mix the flour, rolled oats, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon in a large bowl.

22. Mix the maple syrup, milk, egg, butter and apple sauce in another bowl.
