  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/3 c. unsalted margarine
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/3 c. applesauce
  • 1/2 c. walnuts or pecans, chopped
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 c. egg substitute
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. apples, peeled, cored and chopped

    Preheat oven to 325°.

    Spray 13 x 9-inch pan with nonstick coating.

    In bowl, combine flour and baking powder.

    In another bowl, beat margarine until fluffy.

    Gradually add sugars, beating well after each addition.

    Gradually beat in egg substitute and dry ingredients.

    Stir in vanilla, apples, applesauce and nuts.
