  • 10 apples, cooked and strained
  • 1 qt. apple cider
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. clove
  • 10 lb. sugar or to taste

Directions

    Place cooked and strained apples in a roasting pan with the apple cider.

    Add cinnamon, cloves and sugar.

    Bake at 200° to 250° until butter is stiff.

    Have lids boiled in hot water.

    Ladle into sterile jars; put lids on and turn upside down for 5 minutes (or hot pack for 10 minutes).
