  • 1 1/2 c. Wesson oil
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3 c. cake flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 3 c. sliced Winesap apples
  • 1 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1 tsp. butternut flavoring

    Sift flour, soda and salt together.

    Beat eggs well in a separate bowl.

    Add sugar and then Wesson oil.

    Add flour mixture and flavoring.

    Last, fold in apples and nuts.

    Bake in a large, greased pan at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
