- 5 c. sliced tart pared apples (Granny Smith)
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 3/4 c. quick-cooking oats
- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 3/4 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Put apples in a 9-inch buttered pie plate or 9 x 13-inch casserole.

2Combine sugar, flour, oats and cinnamon.

3Cut in butter until crumbly.

4Press mixture over apples.

5Bake in moderate 350° oven 45 to 50 minutes or until top is brown. Chopped pecans can be added to topping.

6Serve with ice cream or whipped topping.
