- 2 very large cooking apples, corned and sliced
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Directions

1Heat oven to 375°.

2Toss apples with lemon juice in small bowl.

3Arrange apples in overlapping circle in a buttered 9-inch pan.

4Drizzle maple syrup over apples.

5Combine flour, salt, baking powder and sugar.

6Cut in butter.

7Texture should be large crumbs.

8Scatter the mixture over the apples as if making a crust. Bake 30 minutes or until top is crisp.

9Serve warm with whipped cream.
