- 3 to 4 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 pastry shell
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 8 Tbsp. chilled, cubed, unsalted butter
Directions

1Toss peeled and sliced apples with 2 tablespoons sugar and fill pastry shell, rounding up in center. Combine 3/4 cup sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt.

2Mix in butter with fingertips until granular.

3Sprinkle evenly over apples.

4Bake 15 minutes in a preheated 425° oven. Reduce heat to 350° and bake another 30 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm with whipped cream.
