  • 4 ounces flour
  • 2 ounces margarine
  • 1 12 ounces brown sugar
  • 3 -4 large cooking apples
  • 4 ounces sugar
  • 1 tablespoon porridge oats

    Peel apples and remove core.

    Slice apples into a loaf tin which has been greased.

    Add 4 ounces sugar.

    Combine the margarine and flour (rub the margarine into the flour until you get a bread crumb like consistency) then add the brown sugar and porridge oats in the loaf tin.

    Cook in a preheated oven at 180 degrees celsius for 30 minutes until golden brown.
