  • 6 large baking apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • dash of salt
  • 1 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. butter or margarine, melted

Directions

    Place apples in greased 12 x 7 1/2 x 2-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.

    Combine brown sugar, flour and butter.

    Sprinkle over apples. Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes or until apples are tender.

    Serve warm or at room temperature.

    Yield: 10 to 12 servings.
