  • 6 apples, sliced thin
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • cinnamon to taste
  • small amount water
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 small unbeaten egg

Directions

    Pour 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and water over apples.

    Mix and sift flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder and salt.

    Add unbeaten egg and work into mixture until it becomes like bread crumbs.

    Cover top with crumbs.

    Melt 1/3 cup margarine and pour over top.

    Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes in 8 x 10 x 2-inch dish.
