- 4 tart apples, such as Granny Smith, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
- 12 small orange, juice and zest of, grated
- 12 small lemon, juice and zest of, grated
- 12 cup water
- 2 cups sugar
Directions

1Prepare fruit, rind and juice.

2Place in a bowl.

3Stir water and sugar in large saucepan on medium heat until mixture boils.

4Add fruit mixture; return to a boil.

5Simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally for about 45 minutes until fruit is clear and mixture thickens.

6Cool a small spoonful to room temperature on chilled saucer to see if it jells.

7When jelly stage is reached, fill hot sterilized half pint jars to within 1/4 inch of top.

8Place sterilized metal lids on jars and screw metal bands on securely.

9For added assurance against spoilage, you may choose to process in a boiling water bath for 5 minutes.
