  • apples, chopped fine to fill pan
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. orange or pineapple juice
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • pie crust

Directions

    Put apples in pan and add all ingredients.

    Cook over low heat to let butter and sugar melt.

    Pour into unbaked pie shell (deep). Strip the top with pastry and bake first 10 minutes at 400°, then reduce heat to 275° and cook for 50 to 60 minutes until good and brown.
